Just some images of my standard ginkgo band with some added stones. This is a little green diamond; 14K white gold.

18K yellow gold art nouveau-style pendant with cyclamen motif. This is a pendant riff off a ring I did a while back:

The original design sketch. I ended up making two of these: this one-of-a-kind version for a client, and a second version with a different flower style that I will develop ultimately as a piece for the shop.

These wedding bands tell the story of a relationship. Daniel & Alicia chose a number of themes and motifs that were personal and significant to them, I made a million sketches, and when we finally got the design nailed down, I began to carve.

The rings were ultimately cast into platinum (Pt950/PtRu). His is 6mm width and hers, 4mm.

A spot in the woods where two creeks converge into one. They sent me photos of this place (and the tree below) and I worked it into a carvable design.

Ring carved with morning glory motif. I went very three-dimensional here—kind of a Rivendell vibe. 14K palladium white gold, lavender sapphire and diamond.

I don’t often use the palladium white gold alloys (14K or 18K palladium white gold); it amazes me how every alloy is different from one another. The color of the 14KPd white is deeper—steelier even—than the standard 14K alloy I normally use (nickel alloy). I feel like it also takes a more intense polish than the 14K nickel white, but maybe it is an illusion of the darker color.

I’m so happy with how this ring turned out. This one was made using 18K white gold and showcases a 9mm mabe pearl.

As usual, I took a LOT of photos…

This ring is something of a collaboration between Kenn Kushner (a jeweler out of Syracuse, NY) and me. I tailored my peacock ring with a half carat bezel on top, made the ring in 18K white gold, then sent it to Kenn to adorn with with the sparkly stuff for his client. He set the 1/2 carat diamond in the top, then channel-set some bright little sapphires and emeralds in the feather barbs.

Needless to say, I’m totally impressed. It looks spectacular!

Just a quick sneak peek a new piece I’m working on for me for the shop. (This is the bottom of the ring.) I am still waiting to buy the stone for it; I am thinking a ruby would be suitable. The red color with the 18K gold seems to work really well.

I carved this for an awesome friend of mine who is a marine biologist. She and her husband have spent a lot of time in and around the ocean (we actually met them while traveling on sailboats in Mexico) and the giant kelp forest was pretty much perfect to adapt to a ring motif. [14K white gold]

This is a modified version of my Tahitian pearl ring made to accommodate a 6.5mm blast of glittery deliciousness! I don’t often get to work with larger stones—1/2 carat to 3/4 carat sizes are by far the most popular in my experience—so this was especially exciting to make. (18K yellow gold)

Finally: a new piece to show off! Carved tapered solitaire with scattered ginkgo leaves in 18K white gold. The stone is a 6mm family diamond sent to me by the client.

The ring is a slight departure from my usual fare in that it has a very clean, symmetrical outline, but with a very organic pattern of ginkgo leaves arranged across the top. I’m very happy with how it turned out.
