This was a de-construction of an old wedding band, reserving the original stones, and a re-design of a new piece. Dogwood ‘flowers,’ diamonds, and ruby, in 14K gold.
I just love dogwood, and it makes such a great motif for jewelry. Many more photos below:
Incidentally, the spectrum of my light-box lamps tends to make rubies look more purplish or pinkish. These same rubies, under natural outdoor light were more red, and in fact orangy red when viewed under a fluorescent lamp. Most rubies show some degree of dichroism (two bodycolors) and these guys seemed to show it pretty strongly. Fun!
