So this wild thing is going to be a large pendant (but it is not yet all put together in this photo). I carved a 3D portrait of the sphinx cat, the center piece will be set with diamonds, then the lower piece has a gorgeous moonstone held in place with claws. 19K rose gold and 18K yellow gold.

Morning Glory ring redux
I’ve made this ring before, but sadly, the ring was lost, so this is a remake. We changed up the stone to a very slightly larger green sapphire this time. Happy to revisit this one!
Continue readingSeven Dandelions Bracelet
This was a commissioned piece that had a lot of sentimental meaning, incorporating stones both found and repurposed from older pieces of jewelry and with an underlying story of family and loved ones who have been lost. Seven dandelion blooms and leaves, Montana Sapphires, diamonds, 18K gold. Plus a small piece from an old Black Hills Gold ring that had sentimental value used in the clasp.

This ring has a kind of wintry romantic vibe: a deep berry-colored garnet surrounded by ivy and holly leaves with a pine bough + seedcone on one side. Diamond dewdrops are scattered throughout, plus a couple of little ‘berry’ clusters of garnets (anthill, rhodolite, ‘grape’ garnets). 18K yellow gold.

Epic Lioness Pendant
Lioness carved fully in the round for this epic rainbowy Australian boulder opal. 22K gold. This piece turned out so wonderfully! I love the lioness.

Pair of Sapphire Rings #2
Here is the second of the pair of wedding rings: matching in style and stone+ring shape, and with complimentary motifs. This ring also features a 2+ carat violet-purple sapphire and is carved with California Poppies on one side (with a quail footprint, a nod to its partner ring), and the other side with Sugar Maple leaves (with a feather floating down, another reference to the cardinal in its partner ring). 14K palladium white gold.

Continue readingMemento Mori Ring with Carved Agate Skull
I had so much fun designing and carving this ring! Designed around a carved agate skull piece, the ring is a sort of flower garden growing around bones, with a couple of bugs too. 18K. Be sure to click through to see the entire design:
