Often one design I make inspires more similar pieces. Such is the case for this new iteration on the classic owl face pendant. Diamond eyes, and this time, the entire backside of the piece is carved with a feathery motif. 14K, diamonds.
This is a Year of the Snake brooch that I carved for a jeweler in Melbourne, Australia. I can’t wait to see how the finished turned out.

Signet ring carved with a Mockingbird. Set with a blue zircon, and three sweet little antique diamonds from her grandmother’s old ring. I really like this riff off the classic signet style with a sunken light relief carving rather than an intaglio or engraved seal.

Another take on the Death’s Head Hawkmoth Memento Mori theme. This time featuring a wonderful enamel by Olga Doutkevitch, plus a red coral heart and a pair of diamonds in the wingtips. 18K. And of course just a little bit of detail on the backside..
The backside has the lettering: “Memento Mori, Memento Vivere,” which translates as ‘Remember you must die; therefore, remember to live.’

This big beautiful chunk is set with a 3.17ct peachy sapphire and a pair of cushion diamonds, 18K. Carved with Peonies, buds, and feathery leaves.
These fireflies are set with bright fluorescent yellow yttrium aluminum garnets, which are a synthetic material in the garnet group that also glows bright yellow under UV fluorescence. It was really quite perfect for this ring. 14K white gold.

One of a kind Death’s Head Hawkmoth Memento Mori pendant. Set with a carved Tahitian baroque keshi pearl skull mounted in the thorax, a shield-shaped cabochon ruby, and diamonds set in the wings. 18K. The backside is fully carved with the lettering: “Memento Mori, Memento Vivere,” which translates as ‘Remember you must die; therefore, remember to live.’
An example of my new Ginkgo Leaf Solitaire set with a vintage lovely pale champagne Old European Cut diamond. Smaller in size compared to the original stone in my sample photos, at .60ct and about 5.2mm diameter, yet it works incredibly well I think.
