We started with a dragonfly and morning glory motif for this gorgeous blue sapphire. Then this was whittled down to only dragonflies because the two motifs together were feeling a bit cumbersome somehow.. But then I was thinking about what to carve along the elongated body of the insect, and going back to the morning glory motif ended up being perfect. Lends a bit of additional fairytale whimsy to the design.

An Oak leaves & Acorns design for this giant hunk of moonstone. I love how this ring turned out! 18K with a pair of diamonds at the sides of the bezel.
This is a new, larger iteration of a design I did a while back, but with a larger stone. The diamond here measures 1.65ct (~7.3mm) and I scaled up the snake to fit. I love this ring!
Songbirds & Forget-me-nots! I tried to keep a lighter and lacy feel to a ring that was actually quite large and I think it worked out really nicely. Birds are fun to carve. 18K, diamonds & citrines.

This is a custom Oak Leaves & Acorns band I carved with just a little larger of a scale than I normally do. The ring is 9mm wide, and the larger format gave me a lot of room for detail. This was cast into 19K rose gold.

It’s about time I made a spider ring! And happily, it was the perfect piece to use this wonderful cabochon emerald I got at last year’s gem shows. This guy is 18K yellow gold, and also has a bezel-set Australian opal. Looks like a glowing water droplet.
