A custom solitaire carved for this fantastic 2 1/4ct diamond: Sun & moon motifs on either shoulder, rabbit & owl motifs carved on the gallery views of the bezel.
Continue readingFerns & wild Nootka rose wedding band
This is a very PNW sort of ring: sword ferns & Nootka rose. It was made as a wedding band to fit alongside the solitaire (not the one pictured below though–I just used that one as a stand-in for photos). 14K gold.
Continue readingAmphisbaena ring – added to shop!
This is a design from my shop: Amphisbaena Solitaire. This is a double-headed snake which wraps around the finger holding a 7.5mm stone of your choice. Face up, this ring appears as two separate rings worn together, but on the inside of the hand, the snake bodies cross as they wrap around the finger, making for a more comfortable, narrower band underneath. Made to fit a stone around 1.5 carats (or 7.5mm diameter roughly), and can be made in the metal of your choice. Details and additional photos at the shop link.
The sample ring shown here is 14K yellow gold, and set with a 1.55ct G/VVS2 Ideal cut lab-grown diamond. It is a size 5.75-6. It is also for sale, already made and ready to ship immediately–email if interested or if any questions about this one or customized made to order versions.

Continue readingGecko ring with freeform Mexican opal
Geckos and grasses carved around and holding an amazing free-form Mexican opal. 18K, opal, and diamonds.
I love to complain about how my lightbox never captures the fire in opals, and this is no joke–observe:
Can you even believe it? This is the same ring underneath a lamp. This opal was like this little oceany jelly drop and I wanted to eat it.
Continue readingCustom-cut white sapphire wedding set
This awesome wedding set features a gorgeous custom-cut white sapphire by Top Notch Faceting (hands down my favorite gemstone cutter). The solitaire setting has a branching tree motif with a crescent moon carved on one side, the wedding band is an open design with a branching tree with leaves motif, and a matching classic-style wedding band with a single branch with leaves intaglio-carved on it.
Continue readingLuna moth neckpiece
This giant luna moth neckpiece! It was delicate and large and I had to carve it, then break it up into five separate pieces for casting. Then assemble it at the end. It is set with a fantastic giant Ethiopian opal, with additional Australian opals in the wings. Stones are a gradient of sapphires and tsavorite garnets from bright green to yellow. 14K white gold.
It’s big!

Continue readingMother’s pendant
Mother’s pendant with roses & twisting vines. I liked the sort of ‘cartouche’ shape of this pendant. The birthstones are citrine & sapphires for the children, and a ruby & alexandrite for the parents (set into the base of the two vines, and seen only when you look at the bottom of the pendant). 18K gold.
