This ring was such a joy to carve! This ring began as a design doodle that I never got around to really bringing to reality. Then I had thee perfect opportunity when a client brought me this gorgeous mabe pearl from the Sea of Cortez, and a juicy ruby to boot. And, she said, she would like to design something with seahorses! It was a perfect set-up for this ring and I think it turned out magnificently.
Many more images after the click:
The stone is a mabe pearl from the Sea of Cortez. They tend to have a lighter body tone than black Tahitian pearls, and the colors range from pinks to yellow, green, blue, purple. Very rainbowy and cool. This one has all the colors!
The accent stone is a lovely silky berry-colored ruby. Love the symmetry on the little tail curls.

They can either follow the link to my shop (at the upper right of this page)–this will have all my shop designs listed with descriptions & prices. And always yes, they are absolutely welcome to send me an email with specific questions. Many of the pieces I post here are one-of-a-kind custom pieces that of course aren’t listed in the shop, etc.
A seahorse around a finger!!?? Why not! Friends have asked me about prices. Do they message you directly for prices for these pieces you are posting?
