I love making these ‘Storybook’ bands, and this one in particular was a joy to carve. Cicada wing, staghorn lichen, cedar, ferns, ginkgo leaves. 18K yellow gold.

I went a little heavy on the patina here in the wing. Sometimes I don’t notice how much difference there is until after I take photos as the patina tends to show up more strongly under certain light conditions. After I look over my photos, I sometimes go back and even things up.
