18K white rococo pearl solitaire

18K white rococo pearl solitaire - south sea pearl + diamonds

Rococo Leaves Pearl Mounting in 18K white gold with a honkin awesome South Sea beauty! Two little diamonds are set in the shoulders as well

I love love love this pearl mounting and might need to make one for ME to wear. That means I have to make the decisions I force my clients to make: WHICH pearl?! A peacocky black Tahitian? I do have a fondness for those pistachio silvery green ones too.. What about going craaazy and using something pink? A giant peachy pink metallic awesomeness set in 18K yellow. YUM! But then that 18K white gold is so lovely with its antique ivory color.. I wonder how a gold pearl, set in white gold, with two tiny yellow diamonds in the shoulder would look? This is probably why I don’t wear a lot of jewelry—too many options make for too tough of a decision.

more snake cocktail rings!

Lightning Ridge Black Opal Snake Cocktail Ring with ruby, 18K hand-carved

Will there ever be enough snake cocktail rings with giant amazing opals in the world? I think not. Here are my latest contributions to this cause.

The above is 18K yellow gold with a freaking insane iridescent green opal from Lightning Ridge, Australia. The color flashes from this crazy green but when the light hits those rivers through it, they show more burnt orange, dots of red, gold. This stone is a total chameleon and changed its look every time I moved it to a different light source. At the bottom is a ruby, a bold and completely perfect choice, I thought.

Lightning Ridge Black Opal Snake Cocktail Ring with Old European Cut diamond, 14K rose gold, hand-carved

This second one was done in rose gold, and featured a really soft feathery opal also from Lightning Ridge, Australia, and an antique Old European Cut diamond accent. I love how incredibly unique every single one of these rings I’ve made has been.

cherry + oak leaves solitaire & wedding bands

Custom designed & carved wedding set: oak & cherry leaves solitaire + eternity band with diamond & sapphire, palladium

This was a wedding set I made for an awesome local couple: cherry and oak leaves solitaire, eternity band, and wedding band. They are palladium, the diamond given a new life from an older family ring, and sapphires for the eternity band.

Custom designed & carved wedding set: oak & cherry leaves solitaire + eternity band with diamond & sapphire, palladium

I wish I could have gotten all three rings in one photo, but I had some technical casting issues with the band & had to re-do it. Palladium can be a little persnickety at times.

custom emerald-cut geometric solitaire

Emerald-cut low-profile Geometric Solitaire in Palladium

Custom low-profile geometric solitaire in palladium 950. The stone is interesting in that it’s a gray moissanite (~2cts); I had never seen one before. It’s very flashy (my studio pics unfortunately didn’t do it justice), and has a very slight bluish tinge to it. The bright white of the palladium was a good compliment for the icy cool color.
