I was so flipping happy with this pendant-choker! It’s 18K and has a curled snake holding an 8.85ct Ethiopian opal.

ALL THE COLORS! Here’s a video of it when it was still in the wax.

Amazing giant Chinese freshwater pearls in myriad shades of ivory and pink. Knotted on silk with a gold carved snake S-hook.

This pearl is about the side of the top of my thumb—it is giant! And Tahitian, and with a really nice peacock-y iridescence. I carved this little octopus guy for it and it just turned out so cool! 18K yellow gold.

This was a custom pendant + earring set carved with roses, ginkgo leaves, and little bees here and there. 14K white gold. I am so sorry my photos were funky on this one; I think this is why it took me so long to post. These guys turned out so nicely; I wish I had a better shot of the honeybees. I thought I did a pretty good job on them, if I may be so bold 🙂

It was inevitable that I would get around the carving an anchor pendant. Zillions of them are out there, and with good reason: they are iconic and symbolic and just flipping cool. Here’s my iteration.
Since this is not an anchor for dragging along the bottom of the sea, I made it in 22K gold and added a .11ct E-F-G VS pear diamond and a little 2mm emerald.
YAAAAARRRRRRRR!!!! That is a photo of The Sailing Jeweler + The Husband, once upon a time.

Hand-carved pendant with a swirl of feathery Rococo-style leaves. I absolutely love carving free-form pieces like this—not so much that the overall shape/design is free-form, but more the detail and contour on each leaf, which I just kind of got to make up as I went. It’s in 18K gold with a 1/4 carat diamond dewdrop. Or maybe a moon rising through a break in the trees. I keep changing my mind..

Hi all! Just a quick note that I can still ship ready-to-wear pieces by Tuesday, Dec. 20th and have them arrive in time for Christmas. Pics above are pieces I have on hand and can ship immediately. Send me an email (cheyenneweil@gmail.com) for pricing, OR visit my Etsy page, as many of them are listed here with lots of photos.
I have a handful of studio sample pieces I’ve decided to sell (the rings above, mostly), which will be 20% off. I’ll list them separately below after the click. All are ready-to-wear and can be shipped immediately. Continue reading
I love this new one; peacock feathers are hard to resist. This is a new piece I designed that can be customized in a few ways: white gold, yellow gold, 22K!!, a colored stone perhaps? A baroque pearl drop? Or maybe a little faceted diamond drop? I have a gorgeous little champagne faceted diamond drop for whom I’ve been looking for a home…
This one above is 18K yellow gold with a vintage 3mm (.11ct) Old European cut diamond (on an 18K, 18″ chain). This is currently available right now for the next few days, and then I’ll bring it up to the shop in downtown Portland. I can, of course, make a customized piece for you with any of the above alterations I mentioned (or not!). Send me a note: cheyenneweil@gmail.com .
The necklace I have this with is a Tahitian & South Sea keshi necklace with larger round silvery Japanese baroque akoyas (pretty unusual color for akoya pearls). The creamy ivory color contrasts so nicely with the silvery blue.

This is a second pendant I carved a bit back, but finally had the time to finish up and complete into a necklace. This is a limited production piece I can make to order (18K, 14K white, yellow, or rose gold, chain length, etc.). The pendant and chain are both 18K gold. The design is based off of an old Art Nouveau embroidery I saw a long time ago.
